Belgrave Square is among the grandest of London’s 19th century squares. Sited next to Knightsbridge, it forms the centrepiece of the area known as Belgravia. The Embassy of Belgium’s consular building sits in the heart of the square. The major part of the building’s fabric was restored to the high quality appropriate to this prime location. Existing joinery, masonry and Stucco features were painstakingly restored and a comprehensive cleaning and redecorating programme was implemented.

Always sensitive to the building’s period heritage, Kenyon married traditional techniques with the use of innovative products to ensure the building’s extended longevity while keeping ongoing maintenance costs to a minimum.

Security protocols at this high profile property were strictly enforced. Regular diplomatic events occurred during the course of the restoration work and Kenyon ensured that its programming was sufficiently flexible to accommodate the requirements of the Ambassador and his staff.
