The Body Shop needed a contractor with specialist airport knowledge and airside clearance to undertake a speedy fit-out of their retail unit at Gatwick Airport. Kenyon’s 30 year long presence at the airport and its intimate knowledge of the airport environment made it the perfect choice for this high pressure project.

A need to work around a busy airport provided Kenyon’s management team with potential logistical and programming complications. A flexible and adaptable approach was therefore deployed to ensure that the project caused no disruption to the operation of the airport or to any of the passengers passing through it.

The existing retail until was stripped to its shell. The shell was then refurbished to an exceptionally high standard in readiness for the fit-out of the retail fixtures. A complete mechanical and electrical installation was undertaken and the unit was then completely redecorated. Stylish, durable flooring was installed along with specialist lighting and illuminated external signage.

Following the completion of the works to the external shell, an extensive re-fit was completed to The Body Shop’s exacting design, including new counters, display cabinets and internal shop signage.
